## FAQs

### What type of aircraft does Maverick Helicopters fly?
Maverick Helicopters exclusively flies EC130 & H130 ECO-Star helicopters. In addition to experienced pilots, Maverick is equipped with the largest and youngest fleet of ECO-Star helicopters—designed and engineered for comfort and viewing features.

### Are there restrooms when we land at the Grand Canyon?
Yes, restroom facilities are available at Grand Canyon West Rim. Please note that there are none at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

### Is the helicopter tour recommended for children? Can my child sit on my lap?
Yes, the Grand Canyon helicopter tour is fun for all ages! But minor passengers must be accompanied by adults. Children 2 years old and above are required to have their own seat, while children under 2 can only be considered a lap child with proof of age—passport or birth certificate.

### Is there a weight limit?
The maximum weight limit is 300 lbs per passenger, with a maximum total combined weight limit of 1,240 lbs. Please note that guests exceeding the 300-lb per-passenger weight limit will need to purchase an additional seat. Inaccurately stated body weights may result in cancelation without a refund.

### Are pregnant women allowed to board the helicopter?
Yes, pregnant guests fly with Maverick Helicopters often. However, it is always recommended to check with your doctor before booking.

### Can I fly to the Grand Canyon if I am in a wheelchair?
Yes, however, guests who require wheelchair assistance must be accompanied by another passenger who can assist in entering and exiting the helicopter. Collapsible wheelchairs can be transported in Maverick Helicopters in most cases as the aircraft is ADA compliant.

### What should I wear? What do I need to bring?
Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes for the hot, sunny weather. Please bring a camera, sunblock, hats, hair ties, sunglasses, and bottled water—other beverages are not permitted on the flight.

### Can I use my cellphone during the Grand Canyon helicopter flight?
Yes, but only for taking photos and videos while your mobile phone is set to airplane mode before boarding. If using a camera instead, your mobile device must be turned off before boarding. Calls, messaging, and data use are prohibited on the helicopter.

### Can I bring a camera on my tour? Can I take pictures of the aircraft?
Yes, guests are encouraged to take photos and videos on board the helicopters. The use of professional cameras and action cameras such as GoPros is welcome, but please note that flash photography is prohibited. You can also take pictures of the aircraft after landing, but not on the airport ramp.

### When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow time for check-in, weigh-in, and a safety briefing.

### When will I be boarding the helicopter?
You will be called for boarding 15 minutes before their scheduled departure time. This 15-minute window allows adequate time for the pilot to conduct a safety briefing and a Maverick team member to take a photo of your group in front of the helicopter.
